Make Money Online With A Simple And Proven Formula
My goal here is to help the little guy, likeI was never helped me when I
first started trying to make a living online. I mostly got taken advantage
of. The statements made here are strictly my own opinion. I don't
claim to be an Internet guru. These statements are strictly from my own
personal experience, and that is a work in progress.
The first word of advice that I'm going to give is about advertising.
Nothing in this world is free. You're going to get what you pay for.
Don't jump at every advertising offer you get once you get going.
You'll just end up chasing your tail, and throwing your money away.
When you're just starting out it's better to sell information, or small ticket
items rather than harder to sell big ticket items.
Everybody talks about search engine ranking , and there's nothing wrong
with having a high search engine ranking, but for me, I'm more
concerned about getting high volume, targeted traffic to get me going,
than how high I'm ranked on Google, or Yahoo. Sure a higher ranking
is going to give you more business, but lets just get established for now.
Getting your own opt-in list, and a good auto responder like GetResponse
or Aweber is were it's at. Spamming: Spamming is not only unethical,
it's illegal, and ineffective. So make sure all the leads you generate are
double opt-in. Remember "The Gold is in the List". At GetResponse you
can get a free auto responder, but it will have their ads on top of your
messages, which will cost you a few sales. Upgrading to the Pro account
is less than $20.00/month. Whatever you do don't check the box for
confirmed web subscriptions. If you do they will make you import all your
leads by hand, unless you buy from them of course. At least thats what
happened to me. Write yourself a simple newsletter. Something you
know something about. Something related to your business. Something
you can stretch out over several installments. Then start looking for ezines
that will let you submit it for free. Place a small ad, offering your
newsletter for free, and have people subscribe by sending a blank email
to your autoresponder. Or, you can pay somebody like List Opt, or
World Wide list or The Lead factory to generate them a lot faster for you.
Just make sure you specify double opt-in. Single opt-in are much cheaper
in the short run, but by the time your autoresponder confirms them to double
opt-it, I'll bet you lose at least eighty percent. So if you buy double opt-in
your list will build much faster. Just don't buy a list though. Make sure
they are subscribing through your advertisement. There through your
newsletter you can advertise your related product. Simple!
